A little about me...

Greetings!
We are Mickey (black & tan), Bailey (chocolate & tan) & Freddy (red), aka The Three Burritos because we look like little burritos when we’re all snuggled up in our matching fleece jackets for the occasional cold winter day in Tampa.

You may recognize us- we are dogs of the month for October 2024. We love being a part of the HSTB calendar! Most of all, we LOVE raising money to help other dogs, cats and pocket pets find their forever families. We know what it’s like to need a new home and a new family to love us. In 2016, Bailey and Mickey’s owner could no longer care for her dogs. Freddy came to HSTB in 2022 as a stray.

Bailey & Mickey, 9, are a bonded pair of purebred miniature dachshunds. Freddy at 3 is considered a “young adult” who tested 55% dachshund and 23% chihuahua, with a little pom, min pin and peke thrown in for good measure. Bailey’s the boss and is such a little girl with her pink rhinestone name tag. Mickey, though the smallest, is totally fearless and manages to open any gate. Freddy, the biggest and strongest of the 3, is a hesitant boy, and is perfectly content to be the low man on the totem pole.
