A little about me...
Squeaky arrived at HSTB from a neglect situation. She was all skin and bones, only 5 1/2 pounds. She was missing teeth, and missing most of her fur. She was in rough shape. Squeaky hid all of the time, but she came to me one day when I was volunteering. Another volunteer commented that she never saw Squeaky go to anyone.

Weeks went by and she was still there, overlooked likely due to her appearance. I decided all she needed was someone to give her a chance, so I adopted her last July.

Now, she is just under 9 pounds and her fur has grown in all soft and shiny! It was a big day when Squeaky had enough fur to start shedding! She loves being brushed, and she is playful and extremely affectionate. She’s a total velcro cat!

I tell her story all of the time when I am volunteering — don’t overlook the broken ones, or the ones that are not perfect. Squeaky is the most affectionate cat I have ever had!
