Pet's Story or Bio
Codey is a 1-1/2 year old Dachshund mix rescue dog. His Vet believes that Codey was unfortunetly used as a "bait dog" for a dog fighting ring. Codey sustained life threatening injuries (two broken front legs, a broken jaw, a damaged right ear and numerous puncture wounds around the head and neck areas). Codey is very strong and wasn't ready to go yet so he fought for his life for 6 months with help from his vet and a great foster family. Codey had to learn to walk all over again. We adopted Codey 3 weeks ago from his foster parents so he could be a "little brother" to older Madie and Buck (both rescue dogs as well). Codey has a tremendous will to live. Despite his horriffic early days, he is full of spunk and attitude and loves to play hard and run with his older (much bigger) siblings. As seen in his picture, whatever life throws at Codey, his attitude is "No Problem" I can handle it"........ We are blessed to have him !! Codey is an inspariation to anyone who is struggling by giving them hope that there is something much better ahead if you just "hang in there and don't give up"....... Cheers !!!!!
