Pet's Story or Bio
This was a post from Valentine’s Day on my personal social media.
Oh Bentley, you are so charming, sweet and smart, would you be mine? I know that is very cliché, especially on a day like today, but here’s the story. This fostering thing comes with a catch. Some pups are easier to let go of than others. Usually after a week or so of a pup being in foster, we start posting them on the adoption sites in hopes to have some meet and greets in place as soon as they’re fully vetted. Bentley was ready to go from day one, as he was neutered and got all his shots in PR, which kind of didn’t give us an excuse to keep him any longer than needed. ‘He’s not ready’ I kept telling the people from @compassionkind. ‘I think he needs more time to decompress’ I kept telling myself even though I knew he had adjusted so well to pretty much everything. ‘I AM NOT READY TO SEE HIM GO’ That’s what I was quietly screaming. I posted about him searching for a home once, and just once. I had tons of inquiries from just that one post. Decisions, decisions. By the time he was accepted by Irie in our room, Bob enjoyed play times with him, and Leon shared his favorite soft chews, we knew this home had a fair chance of turning into his own. On February the 4th, as a family, and with the blessing of 2 teenagers, 3 dogs and 1 cat, we made it official, not before asking him first, to what he replied by chewing through 2 sweaters and a pair of flip flops, and by shredding a nice and fluffy dog bed to pieces. We took that as a ‘yasss’. And, just like that, Bentley became our first #fosterfail We are happy to introduce to you the newest member of our pack ‘Benito González, de Puerto Rico’
