Jane
Pet's Story or Bio
Jane had a rough start in life. Her mom was a stray that gave birth to Jane at HSTB. Jane was adopted at 3 months old. When she was 9 months old, her previous owner left her in the lobby of HSTB and drove away. The people at HSTB tried to contact him with no luck. We met Jane when she was in the kennel but not yet available for adoption. We checked on her status several times a day for over a week. Finally, she became available and we rushed to get her. She has always been very sweet and obedient yet also fearful. She would jump and flinch when touched. Loud and sudden noises made her run and hide. We were very patient with her and were consistent with routines and love. She has been with us for almost two years. In that time, she has graduated from obedience school, learned how to swim, and mastered the obstacle course in her agility class. She even has the confidence to accompany us on trips to Home Depot where she graciously accepts compliments and pats on the head from strangers. If it hadn't been for the wonderful people at HSTB, Jane's story may have been very different. Thanks to them, her story will have a happy ending.
