Pet's Story or Bio
Jessie was adopted in November 2015 from the Human Society of Tampa Bay at 3 months old. Another family adopted him and returned him. He is my first dog and I am no spring chicken! He has a mohawk along the back of his head and neck, which is why his middle name is Mohawk. He is high energy and loves to run. He runs more like a horse and walks with a bit of a trot. But he is also sweet, and for lack of a better dog-centric word, polite. I was one of these people who would roll their eyes when someone said their dog changed their life. But Jessie has changed my life. I am a better, more kind person because of my sweet pup. I only met my neighbors once I had Jessie and we went on our walks. I could not wrap my head around doggie daycare - yet now I enjoy bringing Jessie to doggie daycare to play and get some play/running time. Jessie is my shadow. If I get up at 3 am and cannot sleep, Jessie gets up to keep me company. He sleeps next to me, sometimes on the bed, sometimes on a long Ikea table we put a blanket and a dog bed on top of next to my bed, and usually under that same table in what we call Jessie's cave. We adopted another dog, Milo, about six months after we adopted Jessie. Milo is all Jack Russell - a big dog mind in a small body. Jessie, ever polite, lets Milo have first crack at treats. But toys - no way. We joke that all new toys are Jessie's. This picture is of Jessie's first time at the beach - at Fort DeSoto.
