Pet's Story
After moving to Harrisburg for my spouse’s job, I quickly fell in love with volunteering at HSHA. I came across this sweet little pup in the isolation kennels during one of my shifts, and would visit her every day until she was allowed to go into regular adoption kennels. The day before my birthday, I brought my spouse in to meet “Yolanda” and we quickly knew she was the one. After a big discussion in our adoption appointment, we decided to get her as our first puppy. The second she came around the reception desk corner, our hearts became fuller in that moment. Her name is Olive and we enjoy hiking the Rocky Mountains with her! She is the best little pup and we can’t imagine life without her.
