Official Contest Rules
All federal, state, local, and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
ELIGIBILITY
The Humane Ohio Mural Contest (the Contest) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
SPONSOR
The contest is sponsored by Humane Ohio, 3131 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, OH 43613.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES
Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Submission Period starts on September 6, 2020 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time and ends on September 12, 2020 at 9:00 PM Eastern. The voting period begins on September 6, 2020 at 9:00 AM Eastern and ends on September 15, 2020 at 9:00 PM Eastern Time. The Submission Period and the Voting Period combined constitute the Contest Period. Entries that are submitted before or after the Submission Period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Contest using the following method: Online submissions.
HOW TO ENTER
Online: This method of entry will be available by visiting our website, www.gogophotocontest.com/humaneohio and following the directions provided to complete the entry information, and submit. Submissions are accepted during the Submission Period only. The contest winner's images will be used to incorporate a painted version into the mural on the side of the new Humane Ohio clinic (3948 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo). In order to win, your image must meet the photo upload requirements and be acceptable for printing.
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) digital photos
- Photos should be in focus and clear from obstruction
- Photos of dogs and cats are accepted
- Photos may only contain one pet and no people
- Your pet does not have to be adopted from, or have been fixed at, Humane Ohio or live in Toledo to be eligible to enter the contest
- Photos must be full-color, no heavily filtered, edited or altered photos
- Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible
- Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene will be removed from the contest
- If your photo is deemed unacceptable for any reason, any donations and entry fees are non-refundable and become a donation to Humane Ohio
- All online photo entries must be submitted by September 12, 2020 at 9:00 PM eastern
- All photos submitted become the property of Humane Ohio
All entered photos should meet these requirements. If you are unable to meet these requirements, you will forfeit your prize to the next entry receiving the most votes.
VOTING
Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote, with a minimum donation of $5 for 5 votes. We encourage you to share your contest page link with family and friends through email and social media encouraging them to vote for your favorite photos. All donations for votes are non-refundable and not tax deductible (there was a vote in exchange for the donation). Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
The potential winners will be notified by email or phone. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner among remaining eligible entries. Prize packages will be fulfilled within approximately 4-6 weeks after the conclusion of the contest. The mural is expected to be completed by the end of October, but could be subject to delay due to weather or unforeseen events.
