In 2002 Aisha's little mom was rescued from a drain pipe. She was cold, wet and very pregnant. The nice couple who rescued her tried to find her owner, and when they could not she and her 4 kittens were welcomed into the family. My family adopted two, Aisha and Shade. The brothers seemed to just keep growing. We realized they were Maine Coon Cats. Their mom ended up growing about three times her original rescued size once she was neutered and kept in a nice home. I grew up in Maine and had grown up with these cats. They are known as gentle giants and Aisha and Shade are definitely that. They both LOVE Christmas, especially playing in the wrapping paper and shredding ribbons. Aisha's photo was taken after he had been playing a while and was all tuckered out. At 12 years of age he still loves to play and cuddle. He weighs 18 pounds and enjoys a big hug for which he returns a BIG PURRRR.
