Soxy (white sharpei) was a rescue from June 2012 from a lady that was going to bring the liter of puppies her dog had to the shelter because she could no longer care for them. Soxy had 2 surgeries before a year old totaling more than $2k but she is more than well worth any amout of money! She's healthy, playful, cuddly and very protective of her family, especially her 2&3 year old human sisters!
Mickey was a rescue from a couple in Fort O claiming that their shar pei had an accidental pregnancy before being fixed. When we met to rescue Mickey we noticed the lady looked very familiar, turns out it was the same lady that we rescued Soxy from! They are brother and sister, sharing the same mother! We were excited that they were from the same liter! After some investigation we learned that Soxy and Mickey were not accidental puppies, they were the runts that werent able to be sold! We love them as if they were our own children! We can't picture what our family would be like without these 2, they were like the perfect addition to our growing family! Both pups are very mild tempered, laid back, quiet, playful, funny, love to be cuddled, love to be our shadows, a little hesitant with strangers but after someone's been around a few times they ease up, we've read a lot on this breed and it's perfectly normal as the sharpei is known to be "snobby" and protective. They are our children's best friends, they play dress up and don't mind getting stickers stuck on them!
