Starbuck is our old lady tortise shell cat of the family. She is named for the character Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica, Kara "starbuck " Thrace. She is 14 years old and was given to my mom and dad on their wedding day 14 years ago on april 27th. 2007. She was really sick when she was found and my dad cared for her those first few weeks. He even carried her around in his shirt pocket. When my mom had me when starbuck was 4 years old she stayed by my side and protected me.
