We rescued Lexi from SPARC. She was underweight, scared, timid, and unsure of the world. She had been starved and neglected for two and a half years before being returned to the shelter. I saw the diamond in the ruff when I met her. Today she is happy, healthy, spoiled, still timid but getting better. It was a lot of hard work and training to get her here. Shelter dogs like Lexi are not easy. My trainer was not sure she would adjust. It was only through hard work, consistency, dedication and love that she is flourishing. Adoption saves lives!
