Your Pet's Story
My husband and I are both dog lovers and when we purchased our home we knew we wanted to start our family and that family would include a 4 legged member. After several years we came to the conclusion that we were meant to be puppy parents and we made the decision to get a companion for our pup Maddy. As supporters of HSFN we knew there would be adoptions available at the Walk for Whiskers event. We went early, not knowing if there would be another 4 legged friend for us or if Maddy would like another pup around. I walked into the tent while my husband stayed back with Maddy and began the task of peering in cages, reading descriptions and looking into the eyes of those that were looking for their forever home. When I peered in Bailey’s (formally known as Cory) cage he looked up at me, licked my finger and rolled over on his back so I could pat him. He wasn't scared or growling; which he would have had every right to. Shortly, after we began the process of the “meet and greet”. We took Bailey home that day and it’s been non-stop entertainment and laughs ever since.
