Roxy is a regular foster host for HSC dogs and cats that need care, and she loves and cares for each and every foster animal we host. We found Roxy registered as a stray at the Humane Society of Denver CO (2010-2015) and took her home where she destroyed our brand new home and yard, and she became the most athletic frisbee and fetch dog at Wash Park in Denver. In CO she led her people to the summit of multiple 14ers, enjoyed snowshoeing, skiing and hiking, and even once chased off a moose. After CO Roxy enjoyed weekend hikes in VA and MD as a Washington DC dog park dog (2015-2019) and she became an excellent running partner, accompanying her people for daily runs on the National Mall. Roxy is brave and loving and generous and kind. Roxy relocated to Huntersville, NC in 2019 with her family to enjoy her retirement years. Roxy has had cancer and she now has a hard time getting around but she still manages to get up and lick and greet her people with a smile each and every time the door opens. She is beloved.
