Hickory is her own success story! She came to us timid and scared yet full of love. For weeks we had to carry her through doorways to go potty and only could walk her at night when all was silent...reminding us she spent months on the streets only feeling safe at certain times. She is so very brave and strong...and loving and loyal...and hilarious! We laugh and say she is part mountain goat and part toddler...she loves to climb on furniture and always loves a toy to chew on. A few weeks after adopting Hickory, our son exclaimed one day, "Hickory sure makes our house happier!" Hickory reminds our family daily that every living creature in this world has a story and has a gift to offer this world. Our family is blessed to have Hickory come into our lives. The love and laughter she brings has rescued us as much (if not more than) we have rescued her! We love you, Hickory!!!
