Our son was severely bitten by a stranger’s dog - winding up in surgery. I cannot explain how difficult this was for him (and us) in words. After the incident, he was terrified of dogs. As a dog loving family, and recently losing our 14 year old rescue who he adored. We took a very long time finding the right puppy. We had to trust her completely and she had to win over our son. We found Pilot at Halfway There Rescue and she is our perfect puppy. She is patient, sweet and adores our son. They have become inseparable best buds - and she has completely rehabilitated him. Now he is a dog lover again! We rescued Pilot, and she rescued our son.
