Miya was rescued from the animal shelter on her "last day" by the Humane Society. She had a tough life on the Carrabus County Streets prior, had a litter of kittens before she was a year old. We saw her picture on line and was drawn to her by the sadness in her eyes. She's a Maine Coon/Tabby combo and the closest we've come to owning a dog. She greets us at the front door, begs for food and treats, and lounges on her chair like Cleopatra. She has a purr motor that is unusually loud and an attitude to match. Looking back at the past three years with Miya, we are grateful she rescued us. She makes our hearts happy.
