Homer, aka, Homer the Hound, or Homeboy is a rescue with no history as he was found running with other dogs when caught by animal control. The shelter called this 1-year-old pup “chill dog” because he was laid-back. When we saw him at the adoption event we were immediately attracted to his eyes and relaxed behavior. He had a peaceful but intense stare, and his calm and easy-going behavior won our hearts.
Well, when we got him home, he was anything but chill! His high energy, exploring nature, and shoe destroying mentality meant one thing - he needed to run! Because he was a hound mix, hiking became a daily routine. Suddenly the chill dog emerged! Come this November he will be with us for 4 adventurous years. Running hard in the woods and chilling at home. What could be better than a chill dog on a chilled beer can!
