How we met
Our 15 year old dog died last year and about 2 or 3 months ago we started thinking about getting a puppy. Our other dog, a 7 year old Lab mix, was lonely and we can't imagine our life without pets in it. I went to the Catawba Humane site and filled out an application without seeing any dogs/puppies online. An appointment was made for that afternoon. It just so happened that a couple of cancelations occurred so they could fit us in. Plus, we were going to Hickory from our home in Lenoir that same afternoon. Perfect timing or divine intervention? I believe it was the latter. Remi found us. It was meant to be.

What is the best trick your pet has taught you?
To throw the ball! No matter how many times she fetches and returns it.

What is the strangest thing about your pet
When she is frustrated her little bark is adorable. She sounds like a chipmunk.

Does your pet have a favorite toy or activity?
Her stuffed Llama didn't last long after a few games of tug-o-war. However, in addition to every single ball she loves her squeaky toy and bones filled with peanut butter.
