How we met...
We were blessed and honored to have lived in the presence of Pancake. She came into our lives in a dark time back in March 2010. Just a month prior our daughter was diagnosed with cancer. The future was unknown. The days and nights were long. The treatment harsh! Life as we knew it was no longer. During the 1st month of treatment all my daughter asked for was a kitten. We told her once she finished the 1st month we would check with her doctors. That time came and the Dr. approved. With the help of friends and family, Pancake came into our lives. Upon picking her up we found out her foster had named her Shooks. That was the nickname we called our daughter. She was chosen for us. Pancake was the joy, the light and the laughter that helped us thru some pretty hard days. Always by my daughters side when she was not feeling well, We called her Nurse Pancake. When she was not with my daughter, she was sleeping with me. Always greeting me at the door and never missed a hand out. She was queen of the house! As she got a older, she began sitting on her hind legs waving her paws in the air at objects around the house. We called it Pancake Blessings . Unfortunately, a year ago she crossed rainbow bridge from cancer. Her blessings and spirit are furever in our heart and home. 🥞🐾🌈🦋
