Pet's Bio or Adoption Story
I met Marta while agreeing to transport her to an adoption event the summer of 2008. While driving down a major highway, Marta decided she was lonely in the backseat. She wiggled her way out of her harness and jumped into my lap. She finally settled at the foot pedals - no small feat for a 50-pound dog. Luckily we avoided any accidents! My husband and I were so enamored with her sweet face and personality, we started fostering her the following week and decided to adopt her shortly thereafter. Marta had boundless energy and as a young lady but has now slowed down and settled happily into her senior years. We have since added two human members to her herd and one feisty puppy and Marta just rolls with the changes. She is a wonderful, sweet, protective and caring girl and we love having her as part of our family.
