Pet's Bio or Adoption Story
I was looking for a male orange tabby to add to my other 3 cats and my parents spotted this little guy at their local Pet Smart, in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania (where the shelter has a niche). When I saw him I was reluctant to take him as he was scrawny, listless and already 18-months old; but we adopted him and now Euro is the light of my life. Filled-out, healthy and happy. He is gentle, kind, affectionate and caring - a real love-bug and not one hateful, mean streak in him. He is playful and a terrible hunter; he isn't unnerved by dogs and never hurts any other animal or insect. He's a Lover not a Fighter. He loves everyone and everything and has never had a bad day in his life, especially since adoption. He also loves having his picture taken - a real ham. He is an indoor cat who has his own Zen Garden out on my balcony, filled with water, pebbles and cat grass. This year I bought tree seedlings to grow and Euro got an American Holly because, technically, he is from Delaware (that's where his shelter is located)and that's their state tree. Euro's motto is: "Carpe Diem - Tempus Fugit". His favorite snack is fresh Bonito Flakes. I have owned him now for 7 1/2 years (he is 9) and he now resides with me in Portland, Maine (his second home) with one other adopted male cat, who is his best buddy. (I took this picture of Euro).
