Humane Society: Charlie
Recently adopted by the Development Director at the shelter and will live happily ever after with an entire clan of 4-legged creatures. P.S. apparently likes to be spoken to in an English accent.

Charlie's Log:
5/29: We had a fantastic weekend out camping with family and all of the pups! We felt bad that Charlie is still healing and can't participate in any romping around so we let him sleep in the middle of the bed with us. He was a happy camper!

5/12: Surgery went well! Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that it works.

4/26: Little man went up to the Vet today. He has a laundry list of health issues. Due to poor breeding, bad genetics, and neglect. Luckily, our good friends at Animal Center are getting him all sorted out. I'm so grateful that he ended up at our shelter. He needs all the help he can get.

4/20: Charlie, aka Crash. The King Charles Cavalier that had ear mites, was virtually hairless, soaked in urine, and had a front leg that was malformed? The good news is that he is doing well. While he’s on the mend, we’ve had some time to think about his start at life, and we’re frustrated. Truth be told, his life is decent now but it’s still not great – it’s not what the little guy deserves. He’s a seven month old puppy who was purchased at a local pet store, kept in a bathroom - left to live in his own feces, until he finally made his way to our shelter. Once he arrived he need a tremendous amount of medical care; everything from medication to get his hair to grow back and his ears to stop itching to an invasive orthopedic surgery to try and correct his leg. His malformed leg caused him to fall and trip on a regular basis - he would hold it up in pain or walk on the top of his paw; he even has a bald spot on the top of his foot that rubs against the ground.
