Why is your dog a hero?
My son will be out of state for the next 5 months so we have been taking care of Hunter. Hunter has been my hero since we have been caring for him. I have been a first responder for over 40 years, which included 5 years as a volunteer firefighter in the state of Maine. I have been diagnosed with a serious medical condition and Hunter, since day one of caring for him, has been a constant companion. I believe he can sense the condition and has been a comfort for me with his gentle demeanor, though he has been naughty a couple of times. He has quickly become part of my family and my personal hero.
