Why is your dog a hero?
Java, our 3-year-old Sheepadoodle, is a smart, empathetic and observant dog. Java, along with his, brother Sampson, are loyal protectors of our family. Our son has special needs and autism. Routinely Java is looking over him and his friends, ensuring they are safe. He can be found watching over family and friends at gatherings, carefully watching children swimming in pools, and nudging those close to him along to where they should be. Java looks forward to greeting our son's school bus driver and friends every single school day - early morning and afternoon. Java is our hero because he extends joy and comfort our family, friends and children with unique and special needs.
