Why is your dog a hero?
Buddy was abandoned by his former owners, and taken to the Lacy Street Animal Shelter, as a "rescue". Knowing we wanted a dog, we visited every day, until we found the perfect one. BUT, I think he chose us. Because the minute he saw us, he started barking to get our attention, and when we walked over to see him; he brought us his toy. He wasn't able to be adopted until his 'hold' was off. And we took him snacks and toys daily. The minute he was 'free', we quickly adopted him and took him to PetSmart, where he dragged us throughout the whole store. looking for toys and treats of his own. When we finally got home. He could not stop jumping for joy. This was HIS home. We were HIS family. He has A LOT of energy, that he still can't contain. But we like to think of it as his way of saying 'thank you for saving me'. Really, he saved us!
