Journey found herself in a tough situation as she was surrendered to a kill Shelter @ 13 years old . She was afraid and confused and didn't understand why her owners left her behind. After others turned her away because she was grumpy and angry, (who wouldn't be?), we rescued her and promised her that she would never have to go through that again. Journey loved family and was her Momma's baby girl. She loved laying by the pool and just being close to her Boxer Mom. When we rescued Journey, we thought we were rescuing her, but in reality, Journey rescued us after the loss of another boxer family member. There is a special bond when rescuing
a senior that is hard to explain. Journey crossed over the rainbow bridge at @ 14 years. Although we only had a year with Journey it was a year filled with joy and family memories and we miss her everyday. She will forever be our family and will be waiting for us at the rainbow bridge. Rescuing a senior is the best & hardest experience, as there is never enough time and they are the most appreciative. We are honoring Journey here to remind everyone that rescuing works.
