We adopted Angel (the white hound) from Hope in May of 2015. She adjusted easily to life with us, spending much of her days sleeping and keeping to herself. She seemed happy but was not terribly social most of the time. Then, in early September of that year, Lily--a skinny, malnourished and extremely friendly 6 month-old puppy--showed up on our doorstep. Although we never intended to adopt a second dog, we fell in love with Lily and gradually realized she was here to stay. The most amazing thing is how Lily has influenced Angel--she has helped her learn how to play, and Angel now seeks out human connection and even snuggles like she never has before. As you can see from the photo, they are now fast friends. We were so lucky to have both these sweet girls become part of our family!
