Adoption Story
A very sick and emaciated stray, Jackson was scooped off the streets of South Carolina around one year old. HAL rescued him within a few days. He only weighed 35 pounds at the time. When I saw his skinny, sad face on HAL’s website, there was something about him. I knew he was the one for me. Three years and 30 or so pounds later, Jackson is happy and healthy, and I was right. He was the one. Jackson loves to make his daily rounds throughout the neighborhood, gathering biscuits from all his favorite human friends, and he enjoys spending time at the beach, on the banks of the Delaware, and hiking the Wissahickon. Jackson is the biggest snuggle-bug and loves to cuddle up with his favorite people. He also loves seeing all his dog buddies every day at the dog park and in the neighborhood.
