Adoption Story
We lost our two family dogs in 2021 and 2022, and even though we were excited to bring another furry friend into our home, we knew our hearts needed time to heal before we could take that leap. When a friend recommended Home at Last- we started casually attending adoption events and browsing the website to find our perfect match. Unfortunately many of the dogs we met were not kid and cat friendly.

Just by chance we happened upon Stella in April 2023; I missed her on the website and she wasn’t attending adoption events. She was a stray before HAL and despite a bit of nervous energy she was the sweetest dog and took to us quickly. We also love her distinguished and lopsided ears!

She’s only been with us 4 months but we couldn’t imagine life without her!
