Adoption Story
We adopted Juna on April 4, 2020 - we couldn't have gotten luckier with the timing or the dog! Her name is the result of indecision between Juno and Una, so we just mashed the two together. She has been the perfect "furst" born in our family, welcoming her canine sister and human brother with the love and patience that only a former mill-momma could bestow. She was 96 pounds when we got her, so that first summer was dedicated to getting her weight back to a healthy level. Here she is enjoying one of her early hikes on Swans Island, Maine - she has been to nearly 20 states since on many adventures in our campervan. When she is not traveling, she enjoys the peace and quiet of farm living near West Chester, taking the occasional dip in the swimming hole and sniffing all the smells.
