We adopted Ares, originally Chief, from KHS as a stray in September. Despite being timid and fearful of everyone, which led to him being overlooked, we were unable to resist him. This underweight puppy presented with severe diarrhea, which had baffled veterinarians. Following a thorough examination, it was discovered that Ares has a highly sensitive stomach that reacts adversely to specific stimuli. Over the past three months, he has gained five pounds, with an additional 10-15 pounds needed for optimal health, and has been cleared of diarrhea. Although our journey with Ares is ongoing, we take immense pride in his progress and the bond he has formed with us, particularly with his mom. He now has 4 loving big dog siblings along with 2 human siblings who he adores.
