Helping Hounds Dog Rescue (HHDR) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization funded by donations, fundraisers and adoption fees, that works to find forever homes for rescue dogs in the Central New York area.

Our Mission: “Helping Hounds Dog Rescue (HHDR) provides a compassionate approach to dog rescue by matching homeless dogs from overcrowded shelter systems with loving homes.”

Our team of dedicated staff is well supported by an army of more than 300 volunteers and as a result we are able to successfully place about 1,800 dogs annually into loving homes.
