My Quirks...
Barney has not met a squeaky toy he could not conquer. He exhausts them with continual squeaking. Favorite stuffed toys are a rabbit and a carrot. He was given a stuffed carrot as a toy when we first met him. He will patrol the perimeter of the fenced-in back yard at any unusual sound. ..all fourteen Yorkie pounds of him ready to fend off the gator beyond the fence. Of course, Barney does not know he can't get to the gator and that the gator can't get to him. Whew! Thank goodness.

A little about me...
Barney is around 10 years old. When we met him at the rescue he was distant and when touched was combative. But, he needed a furever home no matter his personality. He takes a long time to trust people and other animals. He was hurt badly sometime in his past. One can tell by his combativeness to strangers - be it gators behind the backyard fence or another Yorkie, Someone did him wrong. That is okay. Our house will be his safe haven. We will soothe his hurts with cuddles. Entice him with love. He will sleep safely tight against our backs in bed. He will not know hurt and maybe one day . . one day . . . .
