H.E.L.P. Calendar Photo Contest Rules
Location Requirements:Everyone regardless of location is encourage to enter an image of their horse to be featured in our calendar.
IMPORTANT: Long-distance participants will not be eligible or qualify for the Grand Prize; a free in-person photo session that would produce an image for the calendar or personal use. However, Chelsea will collaborate with long-distance participants to create a themed image that may be digitally adapted or creatively enhanced to fit the calendar's overall design and theme.
Judging Criteria:The winning photos will be selected based on the number of votes at the end of the calendar contest on May 31st, 2025.
Prizes:The top 13 photo entries will be featured in the 2025 H.E.L.P. Calendar and receive a complimentary copy of the 2026 calendar.
Grand Prize Winner: The entry that raises the most funds for H.E.L.P. will be photographed by Chelsea for the calendar cover and will receive a free standard photo session valued at $450, courtesy of Chelsea.
Entry Fees:There is a $5.00 entry fee for submitting a photo entry which 100% of the profits go directly to H.E.L.P. to support their program. Every contribution helps create meaningful change in the lives of those served by H.E.L.P.
Deadlines:Submission Deadline: May 13th, 2025 at Midnight
Voting Period: May 14th, 2025 - May 31st, 2025
Winners Announced: June 1st, 2025
Photo Submission Guidelines:Photos must be appropriate for all audiences. Content that is offensive, explicit, or otherwise unsuitable for family viewing will be disqualified.
Photos must be full-color and not heavily filtered, edited or altered.
Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
The contest is open to any type of equine-themed photo, as long as the horse featured belongs to you or you have permission to submit photos featuring a horse owned by someone else.
Photos can include horses in any setting and may include their owners/entry participants. Open to all individuals, regardless of photography experience. Participants do not need to be photographers to enter the contest.
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar.
H.E.L.P. and Chelsea Croissant Photography reserves the right to use the submitted images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, and event marketing. Participants will be credited when their photos are used. By entering, participants grant H.E.L.P. and Chelsea Croissant Photography permission to use the images in marketing and fundraising materials.
Notification:Winners will be notified via email and announced on H.E.L.P. and Chelsea Croissant Photography social media channels.
If a winner does not respond within 7 business days, a new winner will be selected.
Liability:H.E.L.P. is not responsible for lost, late, or damaged submissions. Participants enter at their own risk.
