From Emmie: "My person did not want me anymore and abandoned me at a shelter. I was there for a long time, overlooked by everyone because so few people want old cats. I am 17. Then one day a nice lady saw my picture on the shelter’s website. She came to see me and ONLY me! She picked me up and held me. It felt so good to be held again. She whispered to me, ‘For however long you have left, I will never let you go.' "
