A little about me...
Hello! My name is Zara. When my family adopted me from HEA in 2015, I represented something very special for them - a new beginning. I was their first dog, and I came at a time when my human dad was making a career transition. It was a really special time for me too because I was also receiving a shot at a new beginning. HEA rescued me, my mom, my brother, and more than 10 others from a hoarding situation in Milwaukee, WI. I was just four days old when I ventured into the loving arms of HEA, and my forever family adopted me just a few months later.

I love my human family dearly, including my 18-month old human sister!! I love it when she comes home at the end of the day and says "Hi, Zare-Zare!" I'm still adjusting to my new canine sister (Theona). I'd like to say she's to blame for my sometimes temperamental attitude, but I'd be lying. I'm kind of high-strung, I love being spoiled, and I'm kind of a diva. Okay, more than kind of, I am a diva!

I am dreaming about...
When I dream, I dream big!! I spend hours dreaming about catching every squirrel in my neighborhood - there are A LOT of them. I dream about a day when dogs stop walking by my house because my parents tell me they would prefer to not lose their hearing from my incessant barking. And, please don't tell her because that would ruin my cover, but I definitely dream about finding a way to get along with my canine sister, Theona. It would be so nice to have such a wonderful friend! Maybe someday...

Beyond dreams about my own life, I also dream a lot about how other dogs and cats deserve to have what I have. Thankfully, there are organizations like HEA (and so many others) that extend hope to countless pets in need. My family's love is everything to me, and I want the same for every companion animal that is looking for their very own happily ever after.
