Lucy came into my life through a local dog rescue, and I was also her attending veterinarian. Initially her foster mom, Lucy required several extensive surgeries and after several months of care, it became apparent that Lucy was with me to stay! One of her surgeries involved a tail amputation for medical reasons, which earned her the nickname "McNubbins". As a monthly OHS PAW donor, occasional OHS volunteer vet, and working with both Ottawa &Freedom Dog Rescues, I see first hand how they need us
