A little about me...
Xuma came into IBR's program in May as an owner surrender. She had suffered some neglect from being hit by a car and she also tested positive for Lyme disease. She had lived in an outdoor kennel and was covered in sores from laying on concrete. XuXu was so defeated and a little frightened, but adjusted to indoor living so quickly. After a few weeks, with Lyme disease treatment underway, her true Pointer personality started to show and she became so playful and so loving. Chiropractic care has also been helpful for her mobility issues. As I wanted to get her back into the field, I registered her with the AKC so that she could run in a hunt test. In spite of her wonky gait, she ran like a champ and passed with great scores and lovely points, and is now officially IBR's Life Of The Party JH.
