A little about my pet...
Please meet Harvey- our newest senior English Setter struggling with heartworms and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. He is one of our cover dogs and I was so worried when I first met him off the transport. He was so scary thin, weak and defeated looking. He was covered from head to tail with hundreds of burrs too. Upon arrival to my vet he needed fluids from dehydration and had a very slow heartbeat. He was also covered with fleas and was about 20lbs underweight. The next 24 hours he started to feel better after a good spa treatment and also with good food and medications. He has a long road to recovery but we are very hopeful that with lots of TLC and our heartworm slow kill program, he is going to continue to get stronger and love his new life where people care about him.
