Roland came to us as a stressed out pound pup. He had been bullied by other dogs and was scared of everything, from the cows in the adjacent pasture to the birds and squirrels. Through careful attention and a "one day at a time" approach, Roland has become the patient, exuberant farm dog that will romp with the goat herd and guard the chicken pen. He is happiest when he is galloping around the yard, playing tug -of-war or sitting on his parent's laps.
