Nathaniel came into IBR's program as a tiny 5- 6 week old kitten with 2 broken legs-- found about 1/2 a mile from my house. He also had a terrible upper respiratory and eye infection that he was treated for. We fund-raised for his surgery to help his broken femur bone-- but the knee bone fused but better to have a little stump than no leg at all. Nathaniel was found with no obvious ticks on him but at 5 months old, he tested positive for Lyme disease. I knew he was off because he was ORNERY! He was treated for the next 6 months and follow up lab work showed a second co infection of Ehrlichia. He has had a few relapses and is retreated. His best friend is Buckwheat but will hang out with me on his terms only. He loves sports especially the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks.
