James and Mai-Lo were adopted late in the afternoon at Harbor Humane Society on one of their Clear the Shelter days. I told them I wanted to adopt two adult cats, and asked to see who was left. They first showed me Mai-Lo (then Milo), and I agreed that he would be perfect (little did I know he would cause me no end of problems in the next few months). Then they showed me Bugsy (who was renamed James Corden that same day). He and Mai-Lo had never met, but seemed okay with each other, so I took them both home with me. They have become loving brothers, along with Bruce Springsteen Cat, who joined the household when his human mother died a year later.
