Pandemic Pals Photo Contest Rules


The Pandemic Pals Photo Contest is a fundraiser for Great River Rescue. Our goal is to raise funds to help us continue in our mission to save, care for, and adopt shelter pets. All proceeds less GoGo PhotoContest fees will benefit Great River Rescue.


The Pandemic Pals Photo Contest is open to all photographers 13 years of age or greater who have adopted or rescued a pet, or their family has adopted or rescued a pet.

Great River Rescue will review every photo entry and reserves the right to reject any entry under its sole discretion.


Contest entry begins at 10 am on May 1, 2021 and ends on May 31, 2021 at 11:59:59 pm. Photos submitted before or after the entry period will not be eligible. Votes may be submitted anytime during the Entry Period.

A $5 entry fee will be charged for each entry.


Great River Rescue is seeking photos of "Pandemic Pals". For our contest, we are asking people who have adopted or rescued to submit photos of the pets with whom they've spent the pandemic; pets who have given them hours of love and support during this difficult time. There is no restriction on the species of pet for submitted photos; as long as it is your pet that you have adopted or rescued.

Submissions must include your name, pet's name, city of residence, and a brief story about your pet. Your story may include how you got your pet, why you love your pet, how your pet has kept you company during the pandemic, or other interesting facts about your pet.

The pet's name, city of residence, and first name of the owner will be displayed with the photo.

Photos must be .jpg, .png, or .gif format.

Photos should not have been altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contract, etc.)


Voting ends on May 31, 2021 at 11:59:59 pm. Winners will be announced via the Great River Rescue Facebook Page on June 1, 2021.

Winners will be determined by the total number of votes received through the GoGo Photo Contest website. Voters must donate $1 per vote. The top twelve vote getters will have their photo displayed as the main photo for a given month in our 2022 GRR Calendar. Winners' photos must be approved by GRR to be displayed in 2022 Calendar. Winners may be asked to submit a new photo if the file size and aspect ratio doesn't fit the specifications for the calendar. Non-winning photos will also be displayed throughout the calendar in a smaller format.

Great River Rescue reserves the right to end this contest at any time in the event of poor participation. All prizes are provided by Great River Rescue to encourage donations/participation. If the contest ends early, consolation prizes may be considered for the contest leaders at that time.

All entry/vote fees are considered donations and are nonrefundable regardless of the outcome/duration of the contest. No goods or services are guaranteed in exchange for entering or voting in this contest.


If you choose to include people in your submission, you are responsible for obtaining permission from those people.

Pets do not need to have been adopted from Great River Rescue/Beltrami Humane Society to be eligible.

Once entered, photos become the property of Great River Rescue to potentially be used for print, internet, and marketing purposes with no additional compensation.
