Share a brief bio on your pet! For example: What is their adoption story? What makes them special? How have they impacted your life?
I adopted Ivy from Great Plains when I was volunteering there in 2015. Our elderly Beagle, Mazy, had recently lost her companion and needed a friend. Ivy kept Mazy company through Mazy's cancer and also my husband's cancer. She kept me sane through all of it. When Mazy passed, Ivy needed a companion so we adopted Lily who was a shy and fearful dog. Ivy helped her adapt and come out of her shell. I don't think that Lily would have adjusted to life outside the shelter without her. They are now inseparable and we can't imagine our lives without either one of them.
