I adopted Chester from the KC Pet Project on 4/15/16. We loved each other immediately. One cold winter morning before dawn in early 2017, we were walking on my well lit apartment grounds. We met a young man with a back pack who walked on by, but in just a few minutes, Chester alerted me that the man was right behind me. We ran all the way home. A few weeks later, we learned that our neighbor had been murdered as well as several others in the community. The FBI came to my apartment months later and showed me a pic of that very man. He is now awaiting trial, but I have no doubt that that tiny dog saved my life. With the other victims, the killer would sneak up behind them and shoot them in the head. I was very lucky.
