Seven-year-old Monique was adopted from Gifford in July of last year and has been spending her retirement from being a stray cat discovering her passion for plastic bags (both for licking and sitting), salmon Greenies, birdwatching, and most of all, snore-ful naps on the couch.

Monique has never had any trouble winning over cat-skeptical people and has been described as "magical" by most who meet her.
