Pet's Story or Bio
Three weeks to the day after losing our sweet 12yo cat Coco to Lymphoma, on March 13, 2020 we had an appointment at Gifford and came home with Luca (FKA Kong; all black coat), with whom we instantly fell in love - no really, he was the first cat we were introduced to and I (Shelby) knew immediately! (Interestingly enough he has a lot of similarities in his mannerisms to Coco, so we say that Coco sent her son to us.) Luca is super alpha and energetic, and he desperately needed a buddy since our other cat Seraphina is 13yo and is too timid to engage in rough play. We contacted Gifford for support and their behavior counselor Marie recommended Mu (FKA Moo Bear; black and white coat), who was lonely and missing other cats while living with his foster parent. On May 1st we brought Mu home and he and Luca immediately bonded. These boys are inseparable and love each other so much - they literally snuggle and hold each other, and even though Mu is way bigger he always looks to Luca for security. We're very grateful to Gifford for saving them and bringing them together, and helping us find our sweet sons!
