Coltrane was rescued in Boise, Idaho when he was ten weeks old. When we found him he was suffering from puppy strangles, a rare illness that unvaccinated puppies can catch. He was very weak, dehydrated, and couldn't eat or stand up. We worked hard to help him get healthy and he is now very active and happy, and full of constant affection. At one and a half years old, he loves hiking, snuggling (with kitties and humans alike), walking, playing, and meeting new people. Coltrane is an amazing companion and an important part of our family.
