Rita's journey began in a world of shattered dreams, adopted as a child from a broken family. For the past decade, she has found solace and love in the Catalina Foothills with her parents. In a touching photo, Rita sits on her garden bench, a symbol of the loneliness she once knew. Her life, once quiet and empty, blossomed with the arrival of three siblings. As the fierce and loving alpha girl, Rita leads with grace and strength. Beside her is Rosalinda, affectionately known as Rosie, who also comes from a broken home in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Rescued by Sebastian, one of their fathers, Rosie became a U.S. citizen and now revels in the warmth of their garden. Rita and Rosie have two other siblings, Tita and Bigotes, also both from Mexico, now living their American dream. Their story is one of resilience, love, and the unbreakable bond of family.
